I use drapery hooks too... though the 'straightening' trouble is often due to the uneven nature of the ground beneath my tent. If the ground slopes, just because it should be 'even' on the mesh, doesn't mean it WILL be... so sometimes there are adjustments goin' in that capacity.
I also use drapery hooks to hang matted-but-not-framed things, if I've got bare space... two hooks put in to hold the base of the matted piece, and one hook put in upside down to hold the top of the matted piece in place. Works like a charm, and the three-hook system keeps the wind fromhaving its way with my work.
For what it's worth, I don't use my canopy walls during the day, during a show - I can hang things far more easily when I can see through the mesh, and I like the open air, fresh, sunlit, inviting quality.

Subject: Re: [artshow_photo] Mesh Walls - S Hooks
I understand. Thanks.
I have plenty of drapery hooks.
If you used two hooks with canvas prints there wouldn't be any need
to straighten them if the wind blows them.
As per the depth perception comment. Is that because of the fine grid
of the mesh walls? Would it help with the canopy walls behind or make it worse?
