By your definition the image in my head of my computer monitor is a
photograph, since there's light, a lens (in my eye) and a light receptive
medium to capture the image (the rods and cones in my eye.) Moreover a
pinhole camera produces photographs without a lens. Coming up with good
definitions isn't as easy as it may appear.
