There are subject cycles - barns and storms come to mind. There are also
local cycles - antique nautical details and light houses sell pretty
well here during the winter.
The best way to get people to buy is to give them a story with the
picture. Don't lie but get a good story. Tailor it for different
customers. Women, men, photographers, and so on. The story makes the
picture "worth" more and personal. Talk to the people and make them feel
part of the art.
