I know, which is why I don't have one. I am a "sole proprietor", with the emphasis on the "sole" part.
Apparently without an EIN, I cannot get any further on the applicaiton for MN tax ID #, which I still say I shouldn't need since I was just there for one weekend. I have never had to apply for any state tax ID # except for in my own state, and I've done shows in many states.
I guess all I can do at this point is wait for someone from the MN tax office to email me back, which is unlikely since no one is there.

If you do not have an EIN, your SSN works as one. If you don't have any
employees you don't need an EIN.
