Re: [artshow_photo] Re: Recent open letter to Camera Manufacturers

Generally, for me at the end of a day of shooting, I have 30 to 40GB
of cards (several thousand images), from at least 2 to 3 cameras (super
wide angle, long telephoto, and infra-red) that equates to several
thousand files, all getting dumped into a named project folder, usually
with sub folders by day, 1/3 to half of my files may very well have the
same file names. I'm looking for speed to clear the cards asap so I can
shoot with them the next day. I usually don't have time to review, or do
anything with them. Even using the time stamp for a file name wouldn't
be reliable since the cameras aren't synced time wise.

So I'm looking for a downloader that recognizes the camera, and tags the
file name appropriately since my cameras can't, so no files overlap and
get overwritten in the download process. I may go back and batch rename
in Bridge a name with the project, and camera name, but i would prefer
not to have to do this extra step. I'd rather just keyword them in
Lightroom.

ImageIngester doesn't help. I think I looked at it before I wrote my
actions 2 years ago.
