[artshow_photo] Re: Winter gear for photographers = boots?

I have to 'second the motion' on the Vasque boots and REI. I don't do a lot of snowshoeing or hiking in the rain but when I have my feet have been happy. There was no breaking in time when they were new (though I did allow time for it before a major hike), I just put them on & took off ("Your Milage May Vary").

I have a tip if you are not moving around a lot. If there is room, try putting hand warmers on the tops of your feet, in whatever boots your wear. I haven't had a blister doing this but again YMMV. The kind I have used stay warm for a long time. If they are still warm when you are crawling into a sleeping bag, toss them down by your feet, and sleep comfortably!
