My vote would also be go to REI and to the back of the store to the boots
section and see if you can find the most experienced "fitter." I have
small feet and found that Asolo boots fit better than others. I've had them
for about five years with the Sierra Club's Winter Winter Wilderness
Training Class behind me. Thousands of miles and they look almost new.
Socks and sock liners are very important. I would go with only wool.
