I only know about the Image Print RIP and can highly recommend it. I tried
making my own ICC profiles and wasted enough time, paper, and ink to nearly buy
Image Print. The 24" price for the 7600 will set you back about $1500 but I
think that there is no question it is a superior product and you get access to
all their profiles. Whether it is worth it for your limited needs is up to you.
I would also reference an article on Luminous Landscape by Mark Dubuvoy, who I
follow for his technical and artisitic appreciation of exacting fine art
printing. Here's the article:

Good luck!

Subject: [artshow_photo] Re: Printing Prints (RIP's)
In another offshoot of this thread I'd like to reference RIP's. Something I know
of, but know nothing of. I recently invested in a new Color Munki, and while
it's certainly a fine device, I cannot say I'm completely satisfied with the
resulting custom profiles.
Enter a RIP. Would again appreciate any advice/opinions on available RIP's, and
where I might be able to find them.
I only print for myself (Epson 7600 still going strong), and only use a couple
of papers - 1. Enhanced Matte for testing, and low end, high volume work, plus
2. the new Epson Hot Press Natural White for all prints sold at shows. How
benefical would a RIP be in my situation?
