Tom - try this suggestion on for size:

Talk to Duane at Picture This. Ask him if you can load your finished & sized files, load the canvas paper, and hit the "print" button yourself. By any definition, this would satisfy your requirement to "print your own" in a digital world. No show I know of, including TACA, requires that you "own" your equipment.
FWIW - I went thru the entire 1990's doing all my conventional color printing at Nashville Tech, both Ilfochrome and RA4. In fact, a handful of photographers back then did exactly this in order to satisfy TACA's (and anyone else's) "print-your-own" requirements.
Duane has a 44" Epson, so you're pretty much unlimited to the sizes you might want. It shouldn't hurt much to ask him.
