I am wondering whether the Velvet Fine Art paper, with its fragile surface, will hold up as well to the public taking out and putting back the foam core-backed prints in the print bin. I suspect a mat would help protect the print surface somewhat more than the clearbag would. Or maybe I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
By the way, at a recent show I sold virtually no smaller prints, with large, framed pieces making up most of my sales. The middle class who used to buy prints on a whim are holding onto their money, but the "professional class" still has money and is willing to spend. Of course, that result was location-specific, and shows in different locations will have different results.
