Re: [artshow_photo] ZAPP or JAS was Giclees

More clarification.

The application systems have absolutely nothing to do with jurying.
They are only a way for shows to take applications. This question
comes up all the time on the forums or at conferences, or even in
rumors passed around behind the booth. How many images do I need for
ZAPP? How do the jurors see the images? Does ZAPP prejury?

ZAPP provides the online application and sends the images to the
shows for the artists that apply. The shows choose (in advance)
whether or not to use monitors or project the images for the jurors.
That is the most important question artists should be asking. How do
the jurors see their images?

At this point there must be over 1000 art shows using either system
with the major portion using ZAPP.

I consult with both systems and can probably answer any question.

And one more thing. Though the image formatting wording has changed
on the ZAPP web site, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage by
not formatting your images 1920 pixels square with black borders
masking rectangular images.

>It seems many shows use the same jurying companies... interesting.
